Larderkin (“the app”) is a kitchen measurement converter published by GRAVISTO DEVELOPER PRIVATE LIMITED.
The short version. Larderkin collects nothing, sends nothing and asks for no permissions. There is no account and no analytics. Everything below is detail on that one sentence.
Four settings (measuring standard, theme, ounces on or off) and two lists of ingredient ids — the ones you pinned and the ones you last opened. They live in a single private preferences file inside the app’s own storage, which no other app on the device can read.
That file never leaves the device. Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are both switched off in the app’s manifest, so it is not copied to Google’s servers or to a new phone. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes it permanently — there is no copy anywhere else, and no way for us to restore it.
No name, email or account. No device or advertising identifier. No location. No contacts, photos, files or microphone. No crash reports. No usage or analytics events. No cookies. Nothing you type into the app is transmitted, because the app has no way to transmit.
Larderkin declares zero Android permissions. INTERNET is deliberately absent,
which means the operating system itself blocks any network connection from this app — this is
enforced by Android, not by our good behaviour. You can verify it on your own device:
Settings → Apps → Larderkin → Permissions.
There are none. No advertising network, no analytics provider, no crash reporter, no social login, no payment processor. The app is built only on Google’s AndroidX and Jetpack Compose libraries, which run entirely on-device.
The app is safe for all ages: it has no content feed, no user-to-user contact, no purchases and no data collection. It is not directed at children specifically, and because nothing is collected from anyone, no data about children is collected either.
The ingredient weights are published averages. Real flour, sugar and salt vary with packing, brand, grind and humidity — a cup of flour can swing 20% between a scooped and a levelled cup. Treat every reading as a good starting point, not a laboratory measurement, and weigh directly when the result matters. The app is provided as-is, with no warranty.
If this policy ever changes, the new version ships inside the app update and is dated at the top of this page. There is no server, so there is nothing to change silently.
